This project involves the Toll Tax System using infrared technology. The term “infrared” refers to a broad range of frequency beginning at the top end of those frequencies. Used for communication and extending up to the low frequency (red) end of the visible spectrum. That means infrared light has a range of wavelengths. Just like visible light has a wavelength that ranges from red light to violet. “Near-infrared” light is closest in wavelength to visible light and “Far-infrared” is closer. To the microwave region of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Since heat is a form of Infrared light, the far-infrared detector is sensitive to environmental. Changes such as a person moving in the field of view. In this, we are using infrared for sensing the vehicle. There is an END displaying the amount to be paid off.
The aim of this project is to design a high tech toll tax system using a microcontroller. So that the vehicles need not stand in a queue for a long time to pay the toll tax. Now by using a microcontroller tax-paying become very simple. There is an alarm that blows as soon as it detects a vehicle. A vehicle can be sensed through an IR sensor, and the amount to be paid off is also display. When the driver paid off the tax it allows moving further. This system takes a very small time, thus prevent the jam to occur.
